Lifted by delicate aromas of perfume and white peach, St Johns Brook Single Vineyard Chardonnay is smooth on the palate, with crisp citrus fruits of nectarine, peach and grapefruit. More complex flavours of sizzled butter and hazelnut develop with a soft lingering finish. Gingin clone Chardonnay from our best block fermented at a mix of solid levels. 100% barrel fermented with both wild and cultivated yeasts. Regular lees stirring to build texture. 20% new French oak. COLOR AND AROMA: Intense aromas of peaches, lime and honeydew melon, accompanied by a hint of vanilla and cashew from the creamy oak. There’s round and lush fruit on the palate, but the accompanying acidity keeps it crisp and tight. Long, seductive and totally over-delivering on the sophistication.
